RN Coordinator

The Patient Care Coordinator for the Cancer Center is responsible for supervision of all nursing care and leadership of the outpatient chemotherapy department. Some responsibilities of this position include :

• Maintaining appropriate levels of staffing to meet the patient care needs based on census
• Promoting an environment in which the patient care team can work cooperatively toward achieving objectives
• Overseeing the employee and patient education programs
• Acting as a liaison between nursing staff and the Chief Nursing Officer
• Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Consistently using the C.I.CARE framework to communicate with patients, guests, and colleagues

This position requires a current RN license in Louisiana. Strong communication skills including customer service and conflict resolution are required.
