Position Overview :

BWX Technologies, Barberton, OH location is looking for an Entry Level Design Stress Engineer to join the team! This individual will help perform stress analyses of nuclear pressure vessels and other highly engineered products. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented and contribute to innovative solutions. If you have a passion for problem-solving and a strong engineering background, this great opportunity!

Your Day to Day as a Junior Design Stress Engineer :

• Support in performing stress analyses of nuclear pressure vessels and other highly engineered products.
• Assist with conducting finite element analysis, custom post-processing software, and closed form analytical techniques.
• Assist with perform standard and advanced structural analysis methods including linear elastic sizing, fatigue, elastic-plastic, fracture mechanics, shock and vibration, and thermal / mechanical.
• Work with members of other engineering disciplines (manufacturing, quality, welding, drafters, thermal fluids, etc.) in a team environment to generate component designs to meet code requirements and to optimize the design for manufacturability.
• Work closely with on-site manufacturing to resolve real time fabrication related issues.
• Communicate effectively internal and customer presentations and written technical reports.
• Assist in efforts to reduce cost and span of current components.

What We Offer :

Pay : $67,000 - $110,000

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $67,000 and $110,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and / or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department / team performance, and other market factors.
