- Master’s degree in counseling, Counseling / Psychology or Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Working knowledge of the practices, procedures, processes and / or protocols for the provision of counseling services in a mental health agency or college or university counseling center.
- Working knowledge of college student development.
- Licensed eligible within one year as a Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker.
- Internship at a University / College Counseling Services or mental health agency.
- Completion of graduate internship at a mental health agency.
- Some experience as a counselor in college / university counseling center or in a mental health agency.
