We are currently seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapy Specialist to join our dynamic team.
This role focuses on optimizing function and improving the quality of life for patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare team members.
- Utilizes evidence-based practices to guide treatment decisions and enhance recovery outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on injury management and rehabilitation strategies.
- Perform splinting and fabrication of orthotic devices as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other rehabilitation staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications :
Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.Specialty certification in hand therapy (CHT) preferred or willingness to pursue certification.Previous experience in hand therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, or similar setting is preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.Benefits :
