(PC) welcomed its first students as one of the first institutions of higher education in Maricopa County on September 13, 1920. PC's founders envisioned the College as a place of inclusion as a non-segregated institution. In 1962, the (MCCCD) was established, with PC as the flagship institution. Job Summary
As a key member of the Disability Resource & Services (DRS) team, the Administrative Specialist Sr provides advanced administrative, secretarial, and coordination support for the program. The person in this role troubleshoots inquiries to resolve requests. Communicates with internal and external stakeholders regarding policies, procedures, and program information. This role leverages extensive experience in Higher Education, specifically in DRS, Admissions & Records, Financial Aid, Advisement, Enrollment Services, and Recruitment.
Essential Functions
30% - Receives and responds to inquiries and information requests, resolving issues or referring requests to the appropriate resource. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding policy, procedures, and program information. Schedules, prioritizes, coordinates, and performs administrative office support activities related to meetings, events, or office services
20% - Working in a team environment, providing training and orientation to staff, and serving as the team lead for temporary employees
20% - Provides customer support and technical assistance for specialized office support, including applications related explicitly to DRS (DRS Connect and accessibility software (, Kurzweil, Fusion, etc.) and applications used across the college. (SIS, HCM, Google Suite, etc.)
10% - Monitors and tracks budgets, funding, and expenditures; Designs and formats documents; composes original documents & correspondence, creates reports and / or other communication materials
10% - Researches, gathers, compiles, and reviews data and information supporting DRS. Oversees the maintenance of files, records, database information, and documentation related to DRS according to established procedures
10% - Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of administrative office support or related experience providing various secretarial, administrative office support, and / or administrative coordination activities
OR
High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of administrative office support or related experience providing various secretarial, administrative office support, and / or administrative coordination activities
