What You'll Do : Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address issues as they arise. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential concerns. Monitor for suspicious behavior and / or unauthorized access, reporting any incidents according to established protocols. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors at the location. Document incidents and / or unusual occurrences in detailed reports, maintaining accurate records as required by Allied Universal and the client. Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency responders as needed during critical events or emergencies. Adhere to all company and site-specific policies, procedures, and protocols while performing security-related duties. Minimum Requirements : Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Possess an armed guard card or license. Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience. Possess a corrections officer license. Possess a law enforcement officer license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
