We're looking for a qualified Fire Alarm & Special Hazards Systems Technician to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to take a leading role in ensuring the safety of buildings and their occupants by installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing critical fire alarm and special hazard systems. We are not your typical fire alarm and sprinkler company. Our industrial, special hazard and custom proprietary solutions support unique customers.
Responsibilities :
- Independently perform installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm and special hazard systems.
- Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately install systems.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Conduct inspections and maintain fire extinguishers.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in fire alarm, security, low voltage, and / or systems maintenance a plus.NICET I Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Test & Inspect, or Special Hazards (or equivalent certification like ESA CAT L1) preferred.Strong reading, writing, and math skills.Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.Ability to work safely in various environments, including construction sites.Ability to travel 2-6 weeks per year due to our specialties within the Fire Protection Industry. Typical trips are 2-5 days in duration, plenty of notice and we respect a work life balance. No back to back trips. We reward your ability to travel and have a lucrative travel incentive. The Work Environment :
This position requires working in various locations, including warehouses, offices, and construction sites.The work environment may involve exposure to temperature extremes, noise, moving machinery, dust, chemicals, and potential electrical hazards.The ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and working in different positions is essential.Compensation details : 28-34 Yearly Salary
