Healthcare Compliance Analyst

Wellfleet is a specialized insurance provider offering comprehensive student health insurance plans, voluntary workplace, and special risk products. We are building a small but dynamic team of compliance professionals to detect and mitigate risks, facilitate corrective action plans, and lead the way for key initiatives including Regulatory Change Management and Regulatory Reporting. The position reports to Wellfleet's Compliance Manager.
The Healthcare Compliance Analyst is responsible for the building, implementation, and execution of Wellfleet's Corporate Compliance program and all compliance activities. More specifically, the Compliance Analyst will review and evaluate compliance issues / concerns, assess compliance risks and controls, and support a healthy culture of Compliance at Wellfleet.
In This Role, You Will
- Assist legal and business functional areas with implementing new and / or existing regulations utilizing the regulatory change management system
- Assist with the development and execution of Wellfleet's Corporate Compliance Program (e.g., risk assessment, internal customer satisfaction survey, testing and monitoring of key regulations, regulatory reporting, internal complaints, policies and procedures, exam oversight, delegate / vendor oversight, internal / external compliance reporting, issue reporting and escalation, training program, corrective action plans)
- Implementation and monitoring of business area compliance self-assessments
- Assist with testing and monitoring of key regulations, issues reporting and escalation, and corrective actions
- Research laws, rules, and regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins, federal updates, news briefs, and other sources of information
- Build / Maintain database of key fed / state regulations (e.g., Accident & Health, Voluntary Benefits)
- Assistance / coordination of market conduct exams
- Assist with the documentation of compliance guidelines and key compliance controls
- Assist with the automation of key compliance testing / monitoring / risk assessment
- Compile and submit various regulatory reports to meet reporting requirements
- Participate in recurring compliance meetings with business areas
- Assist with reported complaints as necessary
- Assist privacy officer as needed in Investigating reported privacy concerns
- Coordinates with Delegation / Vendor Oversight Committees for oversight and reporting requirements of delegates / vendors, as needed
- Ability to travel up to 10% (approximately, 3-4 trips per year)

The annual gross base salary range is $80,000-$90,000. This range anticipates the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and competencies.
