American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position in a large hospital requiring Epic experience and advanced certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
General ICU / PCU division in a hospital setting with more than 300 bedsNight shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30, 3x12 hours per week13-week contract assignmentFloating required between ICU, PCU, and to an affiliate hospital approximately 15 minutes awayPatient ratios of 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 depending on acuityCommon patient diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, TBI, neurosurgical interventions, multi-system organ failure, stroke, GI bleeding, cardiac / respiratory arrest, complex vascular surgery, and multi-system traumaEpic EMR is used and experience is requiredResponsibilities include managing critical care patients with complex medical and surgical needsCompletion of non-billable modules required pre-start and annuallyStrict RTO policy; all time off must be approved at the time of submissionReturn staff must wait 6 months after employment termination before being eligible to return as a travelerNo radius requirement; local candidates accepted at the same rateFacility does not accommodate block schedulingCandidates may be required to float to a sister facility when needed\n \n Requirements\n
Active OR RN license required for considerationMinimum 18 months of recent experience in a hospital with more than 300 bedsAt least 2 years of ICU nursing experienceCertifications required : BLS and ACLSExperience with IV starts, telemetry, conscious sedation, and ventilators requiredNo first-time travelers accepted for this positionPreferred certifications : CCRN, CPI, TNCCSkills preferred : ICP monitoring, pulmonary artery line managementCOVID-19 vaccination required without exemption\n Benefits\n
