RDS Electric Inc. is a woman-owned electrical contracting company with over 40 years of experience serving the greater Phoenix area. We are searching for a full-time Project Manager - Electrical Estimator . This position offers competitive weekly pay of $1,800 - $2,500 , depending on experience.

YOUR SCHEDULE AS A PROJECT MANAGER - ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

This is a full-time position requiring 45 - 50 hours per week. The role is based in our Glendale, AZ office and involves traveling to job sites as needed. This is not a remote position. All of our jobs are in the greater Phoenix area so no overnights needed.

YOUR DAY

As a Project Manager - Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for both estimating and managing electrical projects. You will analyze blueprints, perform take-offs, and create detailed cost estimates using McCormick Estimating Software. After submitting proposals, you will communicate with clients, negotiate contracts, and secure projects.

Once projects are awarded, you will oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, and project execution. You will lead pre-job meetings, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, process change orders, and ensure materials are ordered on time. Monitoring 5-8 active projects at different stages, you will work closely with foremen and field superintendents to provide technical guidance and ensure projects are completed successfully. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing job costs, processing monthly billings, and maintaining overall project efficiency.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating and project management
  • Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong understanding of ground-up commercial projects ($250,000 - $2 million)
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC codes and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in McCormick Estimating Software (preferred), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Bluebeam
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects (5-8 at a time)
  • Confirmable professional references
