Job Summary

The Drafter / Designer is responsible for creating designs and detailed drawings for a variety of projects. Additionally, the Drafter / Designer is responsible for preparing the drawing sets which may include gas, electric, phone, and cable television infrastructure for utility companies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be driven, a self starter and possess great communication skills. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Assist with preparing joint trench plan sets including gas, electric, phone & cable submittals for utility companies;
• Insert new civil base files into job files;
• Follow company AutoCAD / Civil 3D / Revit standards;
• Respond to drawing related questions from Project Managers;
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to understand the design intent and meet the client needs;
• Save files correctly using Vizion file maintenance;
• On a daily basis, communicate to the project management staff on the completion of assignments;
• Utilize Google Calendar for daily assignments;
• Manage time to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects; and
• Other duties as assigned.
