Health Services Education Assistant On-call Substitute

Various Locations

Seven hours per day, which includes 6.5 hours of paid work time and 30 minutes of unpaid lunch time

$22.54 per hour based on the current casual salary schedule, not benefits eligible

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Will be trained to : perform selected emergency procedures and student specific nursing tasks (changing students, supporting center based classrooms with personal hygiene needs, tube feed students)
• Assist the LSN / LPN to implement professional school nursing roles.
• Administer medication to students as delegated by the LSN and in accordance with district policies and procedures.
• Assist with school health office functions and their planning and preparation (e.g. vision / hearing screening) as directed by the LSN.
• Willingness to lift, carry and physically manage as necessary.
• Clerical tasks such as record keeping, computer input and filing.
• Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
