    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Appian Senior Developer to manage and optimize enterprise-grade Appian environments across development, QA, and production. This role includes delivering secure and scalable Appian solutions, supporting CI / CD pipelines, and maintaining high system performance. Ideal candidates have three (3) – five (5) years of Appian development experience, Agile delivery expertise, and a strong technical foundation. Appian Senior Developer certification and experience with GAM Solutions, particularly Vendor Management, are highly preferred.

    Performs advanced (senior-level) computer programming work. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Employees at this level may fully perform highly complex programming work and may coordinate and / or perform highly complex coding, testing, and debugging of applications, as outlined by system requirements.

  • Prepare detailed analysis, plans, diagrams, and validation procedures for existing and proposed computer applications.
  • Complete requirements analysis, design, development, test and deployment of new application components, as required.
  • Work directly with customers, system administrators project managers, and QA teams for validation
  • Configure and maintain Appian environments (Dev, QA, Prod)
  • May assist with managing user roles, security policies, and access control
  • Monitor system health, resolve performance issues, and optimize UI performance and responsiveness.
  • Support DevOps and CI / CD for Appian deployments and apply upgrades and patches in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications

    Education

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, data processing or related field.
  • Additional work-related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis (High-school diploma required).

    • Experience and Training Required

  • Three (3) – five (5) years of Appian implementation experience
  • Appian Senior Developer Certification

    • Experience and Training Preferred

  • Five (5) – seven (7) years of SharePoint development and administration
  • Microsoft Certified Professional and MOSS Certified
  • Experience with Appian GAM Solutions (Vendor Management)

  • Must be knowledgeable about cross-site scripting and SQL injection security issues.

  • Skilled in programming and scripting languages : C#, java, JavaScript, jsp, asp, asp.net.
  • Cross browser knowledge (IE, Chrome, Firefox, Mozilla, etc.).
  • Skilled in deployment of OLAP, OLTP and ETL solutions.
  • Skilled in preparing instructions for use during production runs and in preparing and developing instructions or manuals to guide end users.
  • Skilled in coordinating high-level application designs.
  • Skilled in creating technical and design documentation, as needed.
  • Skilled in providing technical support for testing and implementation efforts.
  • Ability to learn new, complex development / configuration tools.
  • Ability to analyze application and database software for performance tuning opportunities.
  • Ability to analyze proposed computer applications in terms of equipment requirements and capabilities and fit to need.
  • Ability to update content and applications on internet and intranet sites.
  • Ability to design, code and perform unit tests to ensure application code functions properly and without error.
  • Ability to consult with customers and team members to schedule work and coordinate programming projects.
  • Ability to assist in the generation or installation of system software as needed.
  • Ability to assist in developing standards and procedures as needed.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cordial working relationships at all organizational levels, including agency management, direct supervisors, co-workers, internal and external customers.
  • Ability to understand, follow and convey brief oral and / or written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
