Role Summary \n
Titan Advanced Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to support dimensional, visual, and documentation-based inspections across the entire manufacturing process. This role is essential to ensuring that incoming materials, in-process components, and finished CNC-machined parts meet engineering requirements, customer standards, and AS9100 / ITAR compliance.

You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality leadership to identify issues, maintain traceability, support NCRs / CAPA actions, and uphold Titan’s reputation for precision, reliability, and world-class manufacturing quality.

Key Responsibilities Incoming, In-Process & Final Inspection \n
\n
Perform inspection of incoming materials using visual, dimensional, and documentation checks.\n
Conduct in-process inspections to verify machining accuracy and part conformity.\n
Provide clear, solution-oriented feedback to machinists and operators.\n
Approve finished components by confirming specifications and performing required measurement tests.\n
Quarantine, tag, and process nonconforming material promptly and accurately.\n \n
Documentation & Reporting \n
\n
Record inspection results in reports, logs, and ERP systems with high accuracy.\n
Create Nonconforming Product Reports (NCRs) as required.\n
Maintain calibration documentation, traceability records, and inspection files.\n
Ensure all documentation meets AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.\n \n
Root Cause Support & Quality Collaboration \n
\n
Assist in identifying causes of defects, deviations, and rework.\n
Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.\n
Collaborate with Production and Engineering to support issue resolution and process improvements.\n \n
Measurement Equipment Use & Care \n
\n
Use precision instruments including : \n \nCalipers
\n
Micrometers\n
Height gauges\n
Bore / pin gauges\n
Optical comparator\n
CMM (if applicable)\n \n
\n
Maintain measurement tools by following calibration procedures and proper operating methods.\n \n
Safety & Compliance \n
\n
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized inspection environment.\n
Follow Titan safety standards, PPE requirements, and ITAR regulations.\n
Comply with AS9100 quality procedures and work instructions.\n \n
Other Duties \n
\n
Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned to support production and customer requirements.\n \n
Qualifications \n
\n
High school diploma required; technical degree preferred.\n
1–2 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or precision manufacturing.\n
Experience in aerospace, defense, or CNC machining environments strongly preferred.\n
Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T .\n
Proficiency with precision measurement tools (gauges, calipers, micrometers, pins, comparators).\n
Strong math skills : fractions, decimals, conversions, tolerancing.\n
Basic ERP / computer proficiency.\n
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.\n
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.\n \n
Physical Demands & Work Environment \n
\n
Standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs (with reasonable accommodation).\n
Exposure to machining noise, coolant, oils, adhesives, and general shop environments.\n
Use of PPE when handling sharp or heavy components.\n
Must comply with ITAR access and facility safety requirements.\n \n
