• Must be currently enrolled as a student at least half time at the University of Florida.
• Must be awarded Federal Work Study as part of a student financial aid package.
• Must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA.
• Must maintain course credits required to continue to receive work study.
• Must pass a Background Check prior to placement in off-campus schools and / or community centers.
• Must attend mandatory paid training prior to placement in off-campus schools and / or community centers.
• Must be able to travel to the assigned off campus site.

America Reads is one of the preeminent federal community service programs in the country. Its mission To mobilize an army of trained tutors to help children become successful readers.

UF America Reads tutors work with students who need additional help with reading in elementary schools and community centers throughout Gainesville. All financial aid recipients with Federal Work Study in their award are welcome to apply regardless of major . All that is required is a desire to help children become competent confident readers and.

Expected Salary : $16.00
