Forklift Operator

Join a dynamic team in a lumber mill as a Forklift Operator. You will be responsible for efficiently operating a forklift to move pallets of wood throughout the facility. Your role will involve reorganizing materials in the yard, and loading and unloading trucks. This position requires prior forklift experience as you will spend 5.5 to 6 hours a day on the lift.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move wood pallets within the facility.
• Reorganize materials in the yard and assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Participate in production tasks, including inspecting wood for defects such as splits, cracks, rot, and holes.
• Separate good products from bad and stack them on pallets or carts.
• Engage in fast-paced physical labor, including flipping boards and handling up to 10-15k feet of boards daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization during downtime by performing tasks such as sweeping.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.75 - $20.75 / hr.
