Certified Medical Assistant

WLR practice specializing in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics and cancer seeks a Medical Assistant to join the team. The Medical Assistant assists in the delivery of health care to patients including maintenance of clinical record / documentation. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for medical staff. The position requires the ability to make decisions consistent with clinic policies and the strict observance of confidentiality of patient information.

Experience / Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited MA program or three years equivalence in medical background and experience.
• Previous healthcare experience beneficial specifically in Cardiology or Surgical settings.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
