About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Institute, which is dedicated to addressing the ethical and legal challenges posed by advancements in healthcare, particularly in the areas of privacy and health data in the context of artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Institute in achieving its strategic goals, including the identification of potential partnerships and the development of a comprehensive strategic plan. This role requires an entrepreneurial leader with a strong background in strategic business development, strategic communications, and a passion for building external collaborations to enhance the Institute's impact and reputation. The Executive Director will also oversee the Institute's administrative functions, including budgeting, team management, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include strategic leadership, strategic communications, public relations, general administration, budgeting, and fiscal oversight. The role involves working closely with the Institute's Co-Directors, Advisory Board, and key stakeholders to drive the Institute's mission and vision. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and managing a diverse range of activities, from research and events to fundraising and student programs. They should be adept at creating and maintaining a public relations and media plan, as well as overseeing the production of key deliverables such as project proposals and scholarly documents. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the Institute's budget, ensuring fiscal accountability, and directing the staff involved in event management and educational program administration.
