Summary

The person in this position is primarily responsible for compiling and maintaining corporate accounts payables for Compass Minerals in the US and Canada.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following :

Validate approval authority and process all vouchers and invoices for payment within specified time frame.

Work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve any payment and processing. issues

Process new vendor setup requests and process modification requests.

Act as audit support and assist with special projects as necessary.

Generate general ledger interfaces and Aged Open Voucher reports and audit for discrepancies.

Prepare weekly check runs by processing all applicable vouchers per deadline and distribute / mail checks as appropriate.

Assist in monthly closings, year-end and 1099 processing.

Maintain and prepare documentation to support SOX requirements.

Provide support for P-card and travel programs.

Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Required Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Education and / or Experience

High School diploma.

3-5 years related payables experience in a corporate environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Manufacturing experience preferred.

Coupa accounts payables system experience preferred.

Multi-currency experience a plus (USD & CAD).

Associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
