Anesthesiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

• The Anesthesiologist assists in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and / or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
• The Anesthesiologist provides clinical anesthesiology services and patient care pre- and post-op.
• Monitors patients while in surgery.
• Cares for patients in ICU, short stay unit, acute pain management, and emergency airway management.
• Reviews medical files and lab results.
• The Anesthesiologist informs patients about risks associated with anesthesia.
