Supervisor :
- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Direct Reports : All program personnel Classification : Full-Time (Exempt) Position Summary Reporting directly to the CEO, the Program Director (PD) is entrusted with steering the Neighborhood Career School.
- The PD oversees daily operations and drives all program elements, aiming to surpass career and community development KPIs, goals, and objectives.
- This role requires a seasoned leader with significant experience in program management and program development who can step in ready to lead from day one.
- The PD will learn our way of doing things and our program , but must bring a proven track record of successfully managing and scaling complex programs.
- The Program Director carries responsibility for the entire Leader journey — from recruiting and admissions, to classroom content and Leadership Lab, to coaching, community gatherings, retreats, volunteer Allies, and employer partnerships.
- It is a role that integrates people, processes, and outcomes across multiple moving parts, ensuring the whole system works together to achieve life-changing results for Leaders.
- General Responsibilities Program Leadership & Operations Strategically align staff and resources to maximize program effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manage the entire journey of program participants, ensuring optimal placement of people and processes.
- Handle all critical conversations with program participants, including dismissals.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership for seamless program planning, execution, and communication.
- Refine and innovate program standards, curricula, and practices to keep Neighborhood on the cutting edge of workforce development.
- Plan and manage class sizes, schedules, and budgets in alignment with organizational strategy.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards in all program activities, reflecting the mission and values of Neighborhood.
Key Areas of Oversight Program Recruiting & Admissions :
Provide high-level leadership over all recruiting and admissions efforts.This includes building and managing referral partner relationships, overseeing online and community-based marketing strategies, and ensuring consistent, rigorous admissions and orientation processes that identify Leaders ready to thrive in the program.Community Development :
Shape and steward the Neighborhood community by overseeing weekly Community Gatherings, biannual class Retreats, and the integration of volunteer Allies.The PD ensures that each of these elements contributes to a vibrant, supportive, and mission-driven culture for Leaders and their families.Program Development :
Direct the ongoing development and execution of all program content.This includes oversight of Leadership Lab (curriculum adherence and quality), integration of career readiness training, and alignment of all content with Neighborhood’s holistic poverty alleviation model.The PD is responsible for measuring outcomes, refining delivery, and ensuring innovations are designed and implemented effectively.Career Development & Employer Partnerships :
Expand and maintain robust career pathways for Leaders by cultivating strategic partnerships with employers, industry associations, and educational institutions.The PD ensures that training, certifications, and employer connections translate into living-wage job opportunities for graduates.Staff Leadership & Development :
Ensure all program staff are effectively recruited, onboarded, trained, and supported to excel in their roles.The PD sets clear expectations, provides ongoing coaching and professional development, and builds a healthy, high-performing culture.A proven track record of leading diverse teams, developing talent, and holding staff accountable for outcomes is essential.Full Program Integration & Outcomes :

graduation, job placement, and long-term stability.About You Experience we’re looking for (required) :
Extensive senior-level program leadership experience, including oversight of large teams and budgets.Proven success in program development, with measurable outcomes from creating, refining, and scaling programs.Multi-year experience in training or teaching in diverse group environments, excelling in both curriculum oversight and facilitation.Deep knowledge of poverty and systemic barriers, ideally with hands-on experience in workforce or community development.Demonstrated ability to lead culturally diverse teams with a balance of empathy, accountability, and high expectations.Strong financial and operational acumen, with a track record of maximizing resources for greater impact.Proficiency with program management tools and systems, including databases, budgeting software, and Google Suite.Demonstrated ability to use data and technology to track performance, manage budgets, and support decision-making at a high level.You will be successful if you demonstrate :

This is a salaried role.Work hours are set in partnership with the CEO, but Wednesday evenings (4 :
30–8 : 30 pm) are required for Community Gatherings.Salary :
