Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support one of our clients in Houston, TX. This role reports directly to the Director of Infrastructure and serves as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

Manage user access and identity controls, including account provisioning and role-based access (RBAC).
Collaborate with HR and IT to streamline secure onboarding and offboarding processes.
Implement and maintain IAM tools for authentication, SSO, and MFA.
Monitor and respond to security alerts, conduct forensic analysis, and manage SIEM platforms.
Design and deploy security solutions such as firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with system admins and developers.
Automate security tasks and incident response using scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Ensure compliance with industry standards through regular audits and policy updates.
Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in cybersecurity.
Work with Azure and AWS security tools to protect cloud infrastructure.

Full time Salary Range : up to $140,000 / annually based on experience

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of cyber security engineering experience

PowerShell scripting experience - write and maintain existing code

Extensive experience working with endpoint security, threat intelligence, and IAM

SEIM solution – Splunk, CrowdStrike SIEM
