Location : Webster, TX 77598 (Greater Houston area)\n

Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit (CV IMU), Heart Hospital\n

Unit Size : 24 beds\n

Assignment Type : Travel nursing job\n

Start Date : December 8, 2025\n

End Date : March 9, 2026\n

Contract Duration : 13 weeks\n

Shift : 12-hour nights (7P-7A), rotating weekends\n

Hours per Week : 36\n

Dress Code : Royal blue scrubs\n

\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state\n

BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required\n

Minimum 1 year of recent IMCU, PCU, or step-down nursing experience\n

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and interventions\n

Experience with chest tubes, BiPAP, tracheostomy care\n

Skilled in managing and titrating critical drips (Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Lasix, Bumex, Insulin)\n

Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills\n

Preferred : Cardiovascular nursing experience\n

EMR experience : Meditech\n

\n\nPCU Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the PCU / CV IMU\n

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to changes, and perform clinical interventions\n

Manage and titrate cardiac drips and infusions for acute and post-cardiac procedure patients\n

Provide care for patients post-cardiac procedures (TAVR, Watchman, heart catheterization, PCI, CABG, pacemakers, ablations)\n

Assist with procedures such as cardioversion and emergency interventions\n

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes\n

Float to MedSurg or IMCU units as needed\n

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EMR\n

Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment\n
