Pratt & Whitney digital technology has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist.
This is a remote work opportunity but ideally the candidate will be located in the greater East Hartford, Connecticut area.
What You Will Do :
- Work with and mentor a talented team of Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers, guiding projects from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate strategically with business stakeholders to deeply understand complex problems, translating business needs into innovative AI solutions.
- Drive the development and prioritization of analytical capabilities and features, delivering measurable business impact through advanced machine learning techniques.
- Evaluate, prototype, and implement state-of-the-art AI technologies into scalable, reusable enterprise-wide components.
- Champion best practices in data science and software engineering, including reproducibility, scalability, robust documentation, testing, and continuous integration / delivery.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, facilitating rapid and high-quality project delivery.
- Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity, continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the team and the broader enterprise.
Qualifications You Must Have :
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, with 8+ years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.5+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.Demonstrated proficiency writing production-quality code (Python required; familiarity with SQL and optionally R) with strong attention to modularity, maintainability, and automated testing.Significant experience building and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines, including ETL processes, advanced feature engineering, dimensionality reduction, model deployment, monitoring, and alerting.Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives, aligning technical solutions with strategic business objectives.Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations through clear, transparent communication and milestone-driven delivery.Familiarity or hands-on experience with modern cloud-based data platforms and technologies, preferably including Databricks, Spark, Docker, and Kubernetes.Experience or strong interest in advanced AI techniques such as Graph AI, LLM-driven applications, and AI Agents highly preferred.This role is :
