• The applicant provides care to patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Myrtle Beach Family Medicine. Performs a combination of duties for care of patients in a primary care medical practice Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. Duties include triage, voice mail and gathering information on patients for assessment, vitals, weight, assist physician with exams and procedures. Applicant has the ability to administer medications and perform basic CLIA Tests. Experience with Insurance Carriers for prior authorization of medications and procedures as well as referrals for tests and specialists. Must have excellent typing skills for electronic medical record. Position is responsible to work with physician to keep rooms restocked, check for outdated supplies and comply with OSHA, DHEC, HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines. Job requires a valid SC License or certification and BLS certification. Additionally, this position is a primary representative of the practice via phone and welcoming incoming patients at the office. Must have vocal persona that combines professionalism with friendly, helpful overtones and the ability to multitask. Proficiency in handling calls, making appointments, routing calls for triage and an understanding of primary care medical office procedures. Floating CMA or CCMA is responsible for charges, collecting payments, posting patient and insurance payments, verifying patient data and insurance information. Responsible for explaining patient payment and insurance requirements. Position duties include entry of patient demographics and insurances in electronic medical record, timely posting of payments, scanning, copying, faxing and must have excellent typing and computer knowledge. This requires the ability to balance patient needs with the practitioner’s schedule as well as knowledge of insurance carriers and proficiency with scheduling, patient maintenance, insurance inquiries and related modules in Electronic Medical Record. Seeking a FT CMA or CCMA for primary care practice with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Hours : M-F, 8-5. Practice located at 831 82nd Parkway, Myrtle Beach. Excellent benefit package and salary.
