The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary :
The Irving Institute seeks a Senior Program Manager for Clinical Research Informatics. The Senior Program Manager is charged with development, implementation, and coordination of research support services and instructional programs to facilitate clinical research informatics.
Reporting to the Co-Directors of Clinical Research Informatics, and Associate Director for Finance and Administration and Associate Director for Program Strategy and Communication, the candidate will work independently and proactively towards the development, implementation, coordination and management of research support services and instructional programs to facilitate clinical research informatics. With direction from the Co-Directors, the Senior Program Manager will coordinate, monitor and report on Clinical Research Informatics projects with participating faculty. In coordination with research administration leaders, the Senior Program Manager will assist institutional research programs to simplify and enhance research processes.
The Irving Institute is home to Columbia University's Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), which was launched by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2006 and has expanded to over 50 academic medical centers across the United States.
The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for day-to-day activities and coordination across Clinical Research Informatics. They will oversee the management and schedule for the Resource, and help with presentation, report, grant, and manuscript preparation, as well as collection of data and outcomes from programs and projects supported.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus 4 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in communication and planning IT / Informatics projects with knowledge of research informatics solutions will be viewed as positive. Demonstrated achievement in project management. Organizational and follow-through skills. Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Close attention to detail. Good proficiency with computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.). Ability to quickly learn new computer programs. Strong work ethic. Ability to work independently. Experience interacting with all levels of faculty, management and staff. Ability to manage multiple programs and initiatives. Prior experience collaborating on grant and manuscript preparation and submission.
