The Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Quality Inspector Specialist to join our Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL . We provide a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. Our solutions for defense include enterprise and mission IT, large-scale intelligence systems, command and control, geospatial and data analytics, cybersecurity, logistics, training, and intelligence analysis and operations support.

Primary Responsibilities

Inspect components and assembled parts.

Read and understand assembly instructions, drawings, and technical data packages.

Perform internal AS9100 audits.

Write non-conformance reports and lead investigations to root cause.

Lead or participate in 5S activities.

Instruct technicians on proper installation, assembly, and inspection techniques.

Basic Qualifications

High School diploma or GED with 3-5 years of relevant Quality Inspection experience .

Experience leading operations or teams to complete tasks.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and technical documents.

Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools (micrometers, height gauges, gage blocks, radius gauges, calipers, etc.).

IPC certification required.

Experience in an ISO9001 / AS9100 manufacturing environment .

Ability to complete handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other computer software .

Ability to work full-time with minimal supervision and manage shifting priorities.

Willingness to travel to customer sites for inspections.

Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Must be a U.S. Citizen , a resident of the North Alabama area (or willing to relocate), and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance .

Preferred Qualifications

IPC or J-STD certification.

Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations.

Previous auditing experience.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
