About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

Candidates must be able to circulate General, GYN, Urology, and Peripheral Vascular cases.

Candidates must be able to circulate orthopedic cases, including total joints and trauma.

Candidates must be able to circulate Neuro, ENT, Oral, and Plastics cases.

Scrubbing experience is preferred but not required.

Floating to the Outpatient Surgery Center is required.

Description :

The department consists of 16 surgical suites.

The average number of cases per day is 28.

Common cases include bowel resections, laparoscopic cases, and c-sections.

Orthopedic cases include total joints with or without a robot, arthroscopy, and trauma.

Neuro / ENT / Oral / Plastics cases include procedures such as tracheostomy, facial fractures, and laminectomy.

There is always a charge RN in the operating room.

Staffing includes both RNs and Surgical Technologists.

The facility operates 24 / 7 / 365.

Shifts are primarily day shifts, with options for evening shifts approximately every five weeks.

Candidates will choose between 8-hour or 10-hour shifts.

Weeknight call is required 1-2 nights per week.

Weekend call is approximately every 5-6 weekends.

At least one holiday must be worked annually.

Call response times vary between 30 and 45 minutes.

Uniforms are provided at no cost and are navy blue.

Orientation includes 2-3 days with an educator and 1-2 weeks of case training.

All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
