Job Summary :
The Structural Design Engineer will apply engineering and physical science principles to develop, integrate, and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs. This role involves ensuring performance, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with both customer and regulatory requirements. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams in the design and documentation of aircraft structures, with a focus on metallic design and adherence to Boeing design standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and integrate structural designs for flight vehicles, including primary and secondary structures.
- Ensure compliance with performance, cost, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support design, analysis, and production activities.
- Utilize CATIA and ENOVIA to design and manage engineering data.
- Apply knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering standards.
- Prepare and review documentation for design integrity and compliance.
- Support payloads design, weights, and lofting activities as needed.
- Participate in product development and new design initiatives for commercial aircraft.
Required Skills :
Proficiency in CATIA and ENOVIA software.Strong understanding of Boeing design processes and standards.Experience in metallic structure design for fuselage or airframe components.Hands-on experience working on Boeing, Airbus, or Client programs within the last 10 years.Solid foundation in aerospace structures, product development, and design engineering.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.Preferred Skills :
Experience with commercial OEM or Tier-1 aerospace suppliers.Knowledge of primary and secondary structure design best practices.Familiarity with aerospace regulatory and certification requirements.Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required).
