Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Johnson City, NY 13790 (Southern Tier, Upstate New York)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Med / Surg Telemetry)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,480–$2,940 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in New York State or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs in NY)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience

BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills

Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced hospital environment

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and vital signs

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care

Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record
