Controls Engineer

1. 5+ years of working experience and deep knowledge Rockwell FactoryTalk

2. 3+ years of experience with SCADA systems

• Integrating software to hardware (i.e designing or implementing network-distributed SCADA configurations with system redundancy, custom display design, configuration management or successful execution of system upgrades)

3. 3+ years of experience with Electrical Networking + Remote desktop

• Executing switch outages within the system
• Using Remote Desktop protocol or VPN to access FactoryTalk and HMI
• Designing and troubleshooting network topologies for SCADA / MES systems

Hybrid role. The consultant will need to be available to work the regular 8-5 Monday through Friday and be on available on-call outside of business hours. The first two months include training with the Manufacturing Systems Analyst as the consultant will continue to get acclimated to the role and manufacturing system.

• Description

We are seeking a highly skilled MES / SCADA Support Engineer to maintain and enhance our manufacturing execution and automation systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk SCADA systems, Allen-Bradley PLCs, SQL administration, and electrical networking. This role requires a strong technical foundation, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to system reliability and continuous improvement.

TRAVEL : 25% max to Dyersburg, Yorkville or other Chicago locations.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience.

Minimum 1 year of SQL administration and query experience.

Strong understanding of TCP / IP networking, domain administration, and electrical systems.

Familiarity with object-oriented programming, Visual Basic for Applications, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to system reliability.

Willingness to work during scheduled production downtimes and continuously learn new technologies.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00 / hr.
