Position Summary

The Training Assistant for the College Office of Placement and Training is responsible for the oversight, infrastructure, compliance, and security of student data related to all training experiences for the College of Graduate and Professional Studies. This role holds primary responsibility for the maintenance and management of the OPT Database and other OPT software, as well as for the preparation, communication, and maintenance of all training documentation. Equally important to this position is the consultation, education and technical support that the Training Assistant offers to the College Directors of Placement and Training, Directors of Clinical Training (DCT) and the Associate Directors of Clinical Training (ADOT) with database and data management needs. This position reports to the College Director of Placement and Training and supports their roles through executing requested tasks in a timely manner. This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for the university OPT Database organization, management, performance, and continuity.
• Establishes and implements database policy and procedure, including the creation of database user manuals as needed.
• Coordinate the proper completion, storage, and / or dissemination of documents.
• Communicate professionally with students, faculty, and external affiliates regarding training deadlines and requirements.
• In collaboration across colleges, manage business relationships with off-site database vendors.
• Review project requests describing database user needs and execute in a timely fashion.
• Provide individual and group database training for students, faculty and staff.
• Prepare statistical reports of training data, including document submission and grading summaries.
• Consult on the development of new, revised and updated OPT policies and procedures.
• Educate the community on the expected requirements related to documentation storage to ensure compliance and security of OPT training data.

This opportunity is budgeted at $50,000 $60,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
