Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced

Medical Assistant
Minimum of 1 year of experience required.

This is a FULL TIME / TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8AM-4 : 30PM, Monday through Friday, located in Newport News, VA with occasional travel required to Williamsburg.

Responsibilities :

A Day in the life of a Medical Assistant :

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for collecting and recording vitals, rooming patients, reconciliation of medications, calling in prescriptions, patient education, bedside assist, stocking rooms, data entry into the EMR system, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Medical Assistant :

Required : 1+ years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical capacity

Required : Experience working in an EMR

Required : BLS or BLS certifiable

Required : Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen

Required : Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment

Required : Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications for the Medical Assistant :

Preferred : Gastroenterology Experience Preferred NOT Required

Preferred : Certified or Registered as an MA

Benefits :

17+ per hour depending on experience
