As a Business Continuity & Risk Manager, you will support the agency wide Compliance Office for agency effectiveness by assisting in the development and coordination for the following in :
- Business continuity planning
- Disaster Recovery Exercises
- Risk Management
- Other planning initiatives
This position supports the management of DCYF's Agency-Wide Risk and Internal Control Framework strategies and plans. The incumbent works with all divisions and department-wide counterparts on these and other ongoing and short-term projects. Most projects require planning, facilitation, assessment, tracking, and reporting. This person provides project management expertise and serves as a collaborative member of the Organizational Integrity Office. When in this role, the incumbent becomes directly involved in large-scale initiatives and projects associated with the Department of Human Resources Business Continuity Management.

Responsibilities include :
Assist in the management of DCYF agency wide business continuity strategies and plans. Plan and manage the business process before, during, and after business disruptions for DCYF.The incumbent will work with various DCYF partners and stakeholders to coordinate efforts and serve as project manager for the Compliance Office activities that involve business continuity management functions such as ongoing disaster recovery planning and business impact analysis planning.The incumbent will develop and implement effective strategies, policies, guidelines, and procedures necessary to lead the enterprise-wide risk management function.Minimum Qualifications
4 years of project management professional experience developing, implementing, and managing continuity of operations plans and / or risk management.Sufficient operational / technical knowledge of the project's subject matter sufficient to envision the projects concept, defines strategic goals, summarize, and analyze data.Knowledge of business impact analysis and business continuation planning / practice within a large-scale agency.Problem solving and analytical skills sufficient to review current practices, make recommendations for improvement, and implement new procedures and policies.Considerable experience in compliance and risk assessment / risk management, identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, and mitigating risk.Communicate verbally and in written form sufficient to clear, concise, and comprehensive draft written reports and participate in project meetings to inform other project staff and external stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, human services or other related field.Compliance Certification.Certification in Business Continuity.Adept at analyzing and synthesizing large volume of data relating to policies, procedures, processes, laws and rules, and general knowledge of the administrative areas, including employee relations, and administrative services sufficient to apply them to project problems and solutions.Additional Requirements
