Our client seeks a Security Design Consultant / Project Manager experienced in security planning and system design, including various systems, devices, techniques, and procedures tailored to the specific needs of a facility considering its physical, architectural, demographic, organizational, and cultural characteristics. The ideal candidate will enjoy security design and consulting, leveraging knowledge and experience to develop and integrate appropriate security measures to protect client assets proactively. The Senior Security Design Consultant acts as a solution provider and business driver, working closely with clients to understand their objectives, manage expectations, and deliver outcomes. The role requires holding the CPP designation, with the necessary experience and education to lead security system design and consulting projects. The Project Manager must also manage projects, consultants, and support personnel, and maintain client relationships. Key responsibilities include :
Collaborate effectively with team members, providing clear expectations.
Oversee projects, tracking time and costs to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Provide peer reviews of documents for team members.
Support team members to ensure success.
Ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and partners, asking the right questions and problem-solving.
Articulate security concepts and prepare reports, meeting minutes, and specifications tailored to client needs.
Drive business development with new and existing clients.
Develop and cost proposals.
Manage projects from RFP to commissioning.
Research security systems and industry standards, including government and building codes.
Conduct security system assessments and provide recommendations.
Design security layouts and specifications for clients.
Coordinate security services, equipment, and infrastructure with architects, engineers, and owners.
Review system designs and assessments peer-wise.
Travel as needed based on client requirements.
The candidate must be proactive, self-motivated, and well-organized, with broad security and construction technical knowledge, including electronic security products and systems. Deep understanding of security operations, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with installation practices and codes are essential. The role requires reviewing RFIs, permits, and payment schedules.
Education and Skill Requirements :
Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience, education, and training.
Over 10 years of experience in security system design, physical security technology, and construction management, particularly on large projects.
CPP certification from ASIS International.
Operational experience in security integration at the facility level and as a security consultant in government and private sectors.
Advanced degrees may substitute for up to two years of experience.
