VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Neurology.

• Description : Start date : February 2026Location : County Hospital in Northern CA near the Bay AreaReason for coverage : Current provider leaving is splitting his time currently between clinic and neurodiagnostics. Coverage needed : One week a month - 4-5 8s during the 2nd week of the month.Expected length of contract? 6 months ongoingBoard Eligible okay? YesInterview process : Initial phone interview with Medical Director. 2nd and final interview with the clinic team before offer.Requirements : 2 years Neurology. General Neuro headaches epilepsy movement disorders memory diseases / aging. Must be able to do EMGs / EEGs.Preferred skills : Would love to find a candidate who can do inpatient rounding so that skillset would be welcomed.Neurodiagnostics skills a plus Conducting an EEG. Cadwell is the machine they use.What are the clinic hours and expected daily schedule? Monday Friday 8a-5pWhat is the typical patient volume per day? 12 per dayHow long are appointments scheduled for new vs. established patients? 30 for new 15 for follow up. What EMR system is used? EpicAre procedures expected EEGs EMGs Botox for migraines / spasticity nerve blocks? Lumbar puncture.Are there subspecialists onsite or is this primarily general neurology? No they only see general neuroWill inpatient rounding ever be required or is it 100 outpatient? Nice to have. Would love to find someone who could do some inpatient rounding but not required.Support Staff : 1-2 MAs / MSA support. RN Support as needed for triage.Expected length of assignment : Ongoing while they recruit perm staffCredentialing timeline : 6-8 weeksBill Rate All-Inclusive : NOWilling to license : NO Shift Info : Day 2x8-Hour 08 : 00 - 17 : 00
