Base pay range : $75.00 / hr - $75.00 / hr Direct message the job poster from Tailored Management We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team, working at the intersection of technical SEO and modern web development. In this role, you'll enable and configure site-specific metadata, manage Robots.txt, implement permanent redirects, and ensure streamlined URL discovery and canonicalization across marketing websites. Your expertise will be critical in optimizing site performance through Server-Side Rendering, monitoring site health, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop internal SEO tools. Responsibilities Triaging tasks such as fixing broken links and implementing performance and SEO updates. Proactively monitoring websites and investigating performance issues or trends. Identifying critical signals in dashboards and prioritizing those worth further investigation. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure understanding of issues and solutions, and providing a path to fixing them. Enabling and configuring site-specific metadata for marketing websites : Using and maintaining Robots.txt to manage URLs and disallow unnecessary URLs. Using permanent redirects (301s) to preserve page equity during URL migrations. Using 404s to indicate pages that should no longer be indexed or ranked. Providing accurate XML sitemaps, accessible internal URLs, and Hreflang tags to clients. Canonicalizing URLs to avoid duplication for Google indexing. Monitoring, alerting, and triaging site errors like 404 / 500, performance, and speed metrics. Enabling / configuring SSR when appropriate to optimize crawler performance. Partnering with product & engineering to build and utilize internal SEO tools. Developing SEO-optimized HTML, XML, and content. Qualifications Web Developer with 5-7 years of experience in technical SEO, including site performance, metrics, accessibility, sitemaps, structured data, and tooling. Strong understanding of technical SEO principles. Experience working in large team environments. Nice to have Experience with Fortune 500 marketing websites or major B2B / B2C sites. Google or SEO certifications. Full-stack engineering experience, especially with React.
