Principal Director, Electronic Programs Division (Directorate V)

The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence including electronics programs advanced technologies ground and communications imagery programs and systems engineering and launch.

The Principal Director of the Electronic Programs Divisions Directorate V will lead a fast-paced lean organization responsible for dynamic support to the expansion of SIGINT systems into new mission areas through architecture definition pre-acquisition activities application of advanced technology and system development via innovative acquisition and mission assurance approaches. Responsibilities include working directly with senior SIGINT leadership advising and assisting them in all areas of development of the future of overhead SIGINT.

This position is located 100% on-site at the customer location in Chantilly VA.

What Youll Be Doing

Manage the fast-paced development of multiple innovative SIGINT space systems critical to national mission priorities as the primary counterpart to the SIGINT VSPO Director.

Provide modeling and simulation analysis for the SIGINT Chief Architect in conjunction with community partners to help innovate and set performance objectives for new SIGINT systems to benefit the intelligence community and the warfighter.

Deliver Aerospace support to the SIGINT Chief Engineer at the enterprise level ensuring a successful integrated end-to-end architecture.

Lead support to Research and Development efforts within SIGINT to best meet future system needs through technology and innovation.

Build and maintain collaborative relationships within Aerospace common interest organizations and customer stakeholders across the IC and DoD enterprise.

Provide personnel management resource planning Aerospace Engineering Matrix Support planning and tasking and program assessments across diverse technical efforts.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelors degree in engineering science mathematics or an appropriate technical discipline.

12 years of experience in the acquisition and operation of space systems.

Previous personnel management experience and the ability to perform resource planning staffing mentoring performance assessments and other personnel management functions.

Ability to build lead and maintain integrated multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to work on-site on a regular basis.

Willing to travel domestically approx. 10%.

This position requires a current and active TS / SCI security clearance and polygraph which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these :

Advanced degree in STEM or related field.

Direct experience supporting the SIGINT customer and / or the broader SIGINT enterprise.

Experience with streamlined acquisition programs within the NSG customer organization.

Knowledge of Aerospace architecture modeling and simulation tools and products.

A working knowledge of Aerospace engineering matrix support personnel and processes and experience managing Aerospace engineering matrix support and laboratory resources.
