Advertised Job Summary :

Provides programmatic and logistical support to the Attendant Care Program, within the Center for Disability Resources, USC School of Medicine. Promotes attainment of project goals and objectives through support of the Project Director. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to USC / SCDHHS compliance policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is established in support of service / training activities.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience :

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and / or experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience within a medical professional administrative setting.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

  • Ability to coordinate and work well with a diverse staff required.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must have the ability to collect and assemble information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good organizational skills and attention-to-detail also required.
  • Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.

Job Duty :

Provides a variety of logistical and office functions to ensure the timely completion of project activities by maintaining an efficient and effective workflow. Processes monthly project-related data for Attendant Care staff.

Assists staff with organizing and performing support duties for the Attendant Care Program.

Provides administrative support to the Attendant Care staff in preparing documents, planning, and mapping training schedules for visits.

Oversees project expenditures, creates necessary documentation and files. Will generate monthly annual reports as needed.

Facilitates communication between Attendant Care and the Center for Disability Resources (CDR) Business Office. Completes appropriate paperwork according to University guidelines.

Receives / screens project telephone calls / faxes and correspondence; responds to all that can be handled and directs others to appropriate staff. Responsible for logging in, documenting, and responding to all correspondence received relating to Attendant Care.
