We bring together a multidisciplinary team of renowned, in-house physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. We aim to optimize the lifespan and healthspan of all our members through meticulous screening and tailored interventions to prevent, reverse, or manage all major chronic diseases.
Each member’s care is led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer who collaborates on your behalf with specialists in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, gynecology, endocrinology, performance and movement, and more. Our exceptional clinicians also work closely with the 60+ members of the Atria Academy of Science & Medicine, top experts in their respective fields who are available for rapid consults, support, and referrals.
Role Overview
The Director of Clinical Informatics will serve as the enterprise leader for clinical informatics strategy, implementation, and innovation. In this pivotal role, you will design and execute initiatives that enhance clinical workflows, enable advanced data insights, and support the development of proprietary technologies that elevate patient care.
This position requires a forward-thinking healthcare technology expert who combines deep clinical informatics expertise with a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in deploying complex informatics solutions, leading cross-functional initiatives, and shaping long-term digital health strategies.
This role is a hybrid individual contributor and managerial role with one direct report currently.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategic Direction
- Develop and execute a multi-year clinical informatics strategy aligned with Atria’s organizational vision and clinical goals.
- Serve as the senior subject matter expert on clinical informatics, influencing executive leadership and shaping enterprise-wide technology adoption.
- Lead enterprise informatics operations, ensuring excellence, consistency, and scalability across all sites and specialties.
Technology Implementation & Optimization
Ensure seamless integration between the Electronic Health Record (EHR), third-party systems, labs, and connected health devices.Evaluate, select, and implement state-of-the-art informatics platforms, with a focus on enhancing diagnostic, therapeutic, and operational efficiency.Partner with the Product team to design proprietary software solutions that improve clinical outcomes and member experience.Collaborate with the Data team to optimize data structures, pipelines, and warehouse schema to support analytics, research, and care delivery.Collaboration & Innovation
Partner with clinical, operations, technology, and administrative leaders to ensure informatics solutions align with clinical workflows and care delivery models.Foster a culture of continuous innovation—piloting emerging technologies, including AI and decision-support tools, to advance personalized medicine.Support research initiatives through informatics-driven protocol design, data collection, and analytics enablement.Compliance, Security, Quality & Governance
Ensure all informatics systems and processes comply with HIPAA, federal and state health IT regulations, and industry best practices.Lead and support enterprise data governance, including accuracy, security, and interoperability standards.Establish and monitor quality assurance processes to maintain high levels of data integrity and clinical safety.Training, Mentorship & Team Development
Develop training programs to ensure clinicians and staff are proficient in informatics systems and workflows.Provide ongoing education and support to maximize adoption and value from informatics investments.Mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing clinical informatics team, cultivating future leaders.Requirements
Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in clinical informatics, including 3+ years in a leadership roleProven track record of implementing and managing advanced clinical technologies at scale.Deep expertise in EHR systems, interoperability standards, and data integration; Athena and EPIC EHR experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and data governance best practices.Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Willingness to travel as needed to oversee operations across multiple states.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred (e.g., Informatics, Computer Science, etc.).Reporting & Work Arrangement
This role reports to the VP of Product & Engineering. This is a on-site role based in New York City, with 5 days / week in the office (Monday-Friday). Travel to other Atria locations as needed.
Compensation :
Salary : $170,000 - 250,000
