Summary
The Nutrition Educator assists in the implementation and management of dietary lifestyle interventions for clinical trials. Specific responsibilities include development of dietary intervention programs and educational materials, conducting group dietary education sessions, and assisting with other activities related to the implementation and conduct of the clinical trials. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient skills in nutrition education / counseling.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Working knowledge of clinical research protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed. Required Education and / or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or another health science field.
- 1 year of experience in dietary education , meal planning / prepping. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with patients to meet physical activity guidelines.
- Experience working with patients in a group setting.
- Community health education or community-based programming experience. Compensation Information This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 24.
