• Consultant Urologists
• tojoin our dedicated team at Nelson Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity tocontribute to a high-performing service that delivers safe, effective, andpatient-centred urological care to our community. Nelson Marlborough Healthencompasses a wide area across the top of the South Island with a population ofaround 145,000. We have two main hospitals : Nelson (150 beds) and WairauHospital in Blenheim (88 beds). Both are known for their collegial supportwithin and across specialties. This position will be located at Nelson Hospitalwith the requirement to work across both sites.You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, providingboth outpatient and inpatient services, including diagnostics, surgicalprocedures, and follow-up care.There is also scope to participate in servicedevelopment, teaching, and clinical leadership.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Provide specialist urology services across elective and acute settings
• Collaborate with surgical, oncology, and renal teams
• Participate in on-call roster and multidisciplinary meetings
• Support junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and training
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and innovation
• About You :
• Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent
• Proven experience in general urology; subspecialty interest welcomed
