Job Overview
The Product Manager will have responsibility for the automotive data connectivity product line and act as a “mini” GM driving the overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans to achieve revenue and gross margin targets that enable long term diligence and success of the product line. This individual will develop and implement strategies for new business opportunities including identifying growth opportunities within key existing accounts and developing relationships with emerging customers.
This role requires strong strategic thinking and experience working across regions. This role must closely collaborate with colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations and Marketing to gain cross functional alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmap.
Responsibilities :
Market Sensing & Strategy Development :
- Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
- Define segment –specific value propositions that beat the competition
- Develop product roadmaps that aligns with business strategy
- Design go to market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships
- Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements
- Manage the product lifecycle
Develop Business Plan :
Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmapWork cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasksEstablish pricing policyDevelop the annual operating plan (Sales and gross or standard margin)Execution – New Product Development & Launch :
Be the opportunity champion for PAC projectsPlans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plansProvide demand forecast inputs to S&OPAttend customer meetings in support of winning new businessBe a changemaker and visionary.Provide inputs to Marcom for the development of collateral, including e-commerceExecution – Post Launch Product Management :

What your background should look like :

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience : $104,000 – 150,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
