Contract Type : Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Physician

Start Date : September 2025

Assignment Length : Long-term (6+ months preferred)

Shifts per Month : 8–10 shifts (nights and weekends preferred)

Credentialing : Standard timeframe; no emergency privileges available

Facility Snapshot

Annual ED Volume : 30,000 visits

ED Beds : 30

Patients per Hour : ~1.6

Trauma Designation : Non-Trauma Center

EMR System : Meditech

Admitting Orders : Managed by the Hospitalist team

Schedule & Coverage

Shift Times : 24-Hour Coverage

Days : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM

Nights : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM

APC Coverage : 35 Hours Daily

8 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM

10 : 00 AM – 10 : 00 PM

12 : 00 PM – 12 : 00 AM

Candidate Requirements

Board Certification : ABEM or AOBEM (Board Eligible or Recently Boarded may be considered)

Licensure : Active & Unrestricted North Carolina Medical License & DEA

Certifications : ACLS Required

Experience : Recent emergency medicine practice preferred in similar-volume settings
