Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor supervises bargaining unit personnel and / or oversees contractor personnel in the effective performance of Facilities activities and related activities in other buildings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise bargaining unit employees in the operation adjustment and inspection of refrigeration compressors boilers and associated equipment and controls or in the installation operation maintenance or repair of facilities equipment or machine tools.
• Ensures conformance in work area to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
• Assists in the planning and scheduling of work.
• Analyzes delays and noncompliance with schedules and initiates corrective action.
• Ensures adherence to all environmental specifications cost objectives and energy conservation measures.
• Reports status of work and recommends improvements in methods equipment and use of personnel.
• Ensures equipment is properly maintained.
• Performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Coordinates and communicates with HS&E on safety related questions and / or proper safety procedures.
