Position Summary
The Payroll Manager plays a crucial role in managing and executing payroll operations for our U.S. employees. This position ensures timely and accurate processing that adheres to all relevant regulations. The Payroll Manager balances strategic oversight with hands-on payroll tasks. As the Dayforce system administrator, they will manage all changes and configurations within the payroll system while also overseeing timekeeping processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy. This role is vital for smooth payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and maintaining thorough payroll records in line with company policies and legal requirements. Additionally, the Payroll Manager will actively identify and correct any data entry errors to preserve the integrity of our payroll information.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Compliance
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all domestic employees.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, employee data, and tax information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with court orders by verifying accuracy and processing all garnishment calculations and payments
- Calculate and process special payroll transactions (adjustments to new hire or terminated employees pay, retro pay, deductions adjustments, LOA payments, etc.).
- Review and process severance transactions for payment.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Systems & Reporting
Manage payroll system configuration, testing, and upgrades.Serve as the primary contact with payroll software providers and benefit vendors.Develop and maintain payroll reports for Finance, HR, Treasury, and leadership teams.On a per payroll basis, ensure the export from Dayforce to SAP runs smoothly and provide local accounting with reports (Detail and Payroll Registers) so that they are aware of the financial transactions.Provide required reports to the accounting and other departments.Provide payroll data for audits, budgets, and other compliance requirements.Oversee Dayforce Tax Service in the preparation of quarterly and annual filing of payroll tax reports, including W-2s.Employee Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries.Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies quickly and professionally.Educate employees and managers on payroll policies and procedures.Provide training assistance for new employees as well as to all employees after a System Update.Strategic & Process Improvement
Evaluate current payroll processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and accuracy.Partner with HR and Finance to align payroll with benefits, compensation, and accounting practices.Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal in the creation of any new Company policies.Ensure internal controls are in place to protect payroll data integrity and prevent errors or fraud.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (or equivalent work experience).5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing.Strong knowledge of payroll systems (Dayforce, ADP, Paylocity, Workday, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation preferred but not required.Work Environment
Office-based.Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.Must be able to manage multiple deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.Join Us
