American Traveler is seeking an experienced LPN for a long-term care position with 12-hour day shifts and required BLS certification.

Job Details

  • Work in a long-term care setting with predominantly geriatric and dementia patient populations,
  • 12-hour day shifts with a schedule that includes mandatory coverage every other weekend,
  • Travelers must work two out of the four holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day,
  • Floating to other units as needed is required,
  • No block schedules are permitted for any reason,

Job Requirements

  • Current LPN license required if applicable,
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant LPN experience required,
  • Prior travel nursing experience is required,
  • Long-term care and dementia patient experience required,
  • Current BLS certification through AHA is mandatory,
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, as public transportation is not accessible,
  • Comfort working with dementia patients is required,

    • Additional Information

  • Orientation is held bi-weekly on Mondays,
  • All planned time off must be communicated prior to assignment; no time off requests will be honored after assignment begins,
  • Travelers should equip their vehicles with all-season or snow tires during November through April,
  • Candidates must be flexible in meeting the needs of the unit and patient care,
  • Reasonable commuting distance is required, with different pay rates based on distance measured in a straight line,
