Medical Center Strategic Planner
This position is located in the Augusta VAMC Office of the Director. The incumbent serves as the Medical Center Strategic Planner for all Business and Health Operations functions within the medical center, including supervisory oversight of all planning development process for Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center (CNVAMC) projects to include Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Responsibilities major duties include but are not limited to :
Work Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m.

Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12 / 05 / 2025.
Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) : An IOR is a basic requirement that must be met in order to qualify for the 0671 occupational series. Undergraduate and Graduate Education : Major study hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration; Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5) : Progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below :
Quality Ranking Factor : Minimum 1 year experience in activation, strategic planning or facility planning within the VA or other public health system.
Time-In-Grade Requirement : Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-13 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
Physical Requirements : No specific physical demands are involved. The incumbent may be required to work evening or weekend hours, as needed, as well as to be willing to travel for scheduled meetings at offsite clinics, within the network, and to other locales. Minimal lifting is required. Work is primarily performed in an office setting with significant time involved on the computer.

Additional Information Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave : Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior work experience or military service experience. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave.
