Sr Data Analytics Engineer
Hybrid Work Schedule : one day per week in DC + one day per month in Arlington

The Senior Data Analytics Engineer is a key contributor in modernizing how data is accessed, processed, and leveraged throughout the enterprise. This role is responsible for breaking down data silos, streamlining workflows, and ensuring timely, reliable data availability to address critical business needs. Acting as a Data Engineer, you will lead initiatives to enhance data pipelines, strengthen infrastructure, and improve data quality, scalability, and resilience.
Operating within an Agile framework, this position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Databricks, ETL development, and automated data pipelines, with proven experience building and managing large-scale, high-performance data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities that inform strategic decisions.
- Build intuitive dashboards and visualizations using Databricks and tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
- Produce detailed analytical reports that translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and structuring to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and manipulation across multiple systems.
- Apply foundational machine learning or predictive analytics techniques to support forward-looking insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, refine deliverables, and align outputs with business objectives.
- Participate in Agile ceremoniessuch as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and testingto ensure timely delivery of analytics solutions.
- Contribute to cross-functional teams by providing analytical expertise and supporting SDLC activities, including user story documentation and functional testing.
- Develop domain knowledge in assigned business areas to strengthen analytical interpretations and recommendations.
