Operations Project Manager Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of operational projects, including process optimization, supply chain improvements, and facility upgrades, to enhance business efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, procurement, and IT, to ensure projects align with organizational goals and operational requirements.

Manage the full project lifecycle, defining scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.

Coordinate with stakeholders to implement operational improvements, such as workflow automation, inventory management systems, or cost-reduction initiatives, on time and within budget.

Develop and maintain project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities and operational KPIs.

Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, proactively developing mitigation plans to ensure project success.

Provide regular updates, reports, and dashboards to stakeholders and senior leadership using tools like Smartsheet or Jira.

Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational performance, reduce waste, and improve service delivery.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and internal policies during project execution.

Mentor team members on project management best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. Required Skills and Qualifications Project Management (50%)

5+ years of experience managing operational projects, with a focus on process improvement, supply chain, or facility operations.

Proven ability to lead complex projects involving cross-functional teams, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency or cost savings.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage stakeholders and drive project outcomes.

Experience developing detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations using tools like Smartsheet, Jira, or MS Project.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Operational Expertise (50%)

Deep understanding of operational processes, including supply chain management, logistics, inventory control, or facility operations.

Familiarity with process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and their application in operational settings.

Experience implementing or integrating operational tools, such as ERP systems

Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards relevant to operations, such as OSHA or industry-specific compliance requirements. Additional Considerations

Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or APICS CPIM are a plus.

Experience with cloud-based operational tools (e.g., AWS, Azure for IoT or analytics) or automation platforms is highly valued.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies or DevOps principles for operational project delivery is advantageous.

Knowledge of the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry or related operational sectors is a plus.
